KÜHL Fabric: The Same Performance Cloth That Builds the Collection, Now by the Yard
Choose from a variety of weaves, weights, and blends for the project that's right for you:
Proprietary Cotton-Nylon-Spandex Blends. Stretch-rich woven goods cut from the same bolts that build our outdoor gear. The cotton hand sits next to the skin, the nylon carries the durability, and the spandex delivers 4-way stretch and recovery. It's the construction recipe that lets our pants articulate through a long day on the trail and snap back into shape at the trailhead.
Performance Wovens with DWR. These softshell constructions carry a DWR finish and built-in UPF 50+ sun protection. Quick-drying, abrasion-resistant, and soft to the touch, they're the working surfaces behind our weather-ready pieces.
Brushed-Interior Wovens. Brushed back for warmth without bulk, paired with a smooth face that resists snags. The construction we lean on across our cool-weather kit, including pieces in the Reactiv Series.
Heritage Programs by the Bolt: Fabric runs developed for signature collections like our Aktivator program and the Eclipser Series, made available to authorized wholesale partners while supplies last.
A note for wholesale partners: pricing is per yard, and orders are placed through our wholesale request form, by email at [email protected], or by phone at 1-888-218-3181. Each bolt is woven to spec, dyed to standard, and inspected before it leaves the mill. The same quality control that holds our finished collection to its mark holds the raw cloth to the same one.

KÜHL Fabric brings the proprietary cloth behind our collection (cotton-nylon-spandex blends, DWR-treated softshells, and brushed wovens) to authorized wholesale partners, by the yard.

What is fabric?

KÜHL Fabric is a curated selection of the proprietary cloth that builds our collection, sold by the yard to authorized wholesale partners. Most runs are cotton-nylon-spandex blends with 4-way stretch, woven for durability, comfort against the skin, and the recovery that lets a finished garment hold its shape over time. Pricing is per yard, and orders are placed through our wholesale request form, by email to [email protected], or by phone.

What KÜHL fabrics and features show up in fabric?

The bolts collected here are the same goods that build our outdoor and lifestyle programs. Expect proprietary cotton-nylon-spandex blends with 4-way stretch, softshell wovens with a DWR finish and UPF 50+ sun protection, ripstop weaves engineered for abrasion resistance, and brushed-interior wovens for cool-weather warmth without bulk. Specific runs rotate with the season as we develop new constructions for programs like the Aktivator collection and other signature series.

Who is fabric designed for?

KÜHL Fabric is for authorized wholesale partners: cut-and-sew operations, uniform programs, contract manufacturers, and licensed makers who need the same cloth quality KÜHL specifies for its own product. We don't sell yardage to retail customers. The route is the wholesale request form, [email protected], or our wholesale phone line. The cloth is held to the same standard as the finished pieces in our outdoor gear lineup, because it's the same cloth.

How does fabric fit into your overall kit?

Treat KÜHL Fabric as the upstream input, the raw material behind whatever you're building. The same cotton-nylon-spandex blend that anchors a pant program delivers the same 4-way stretch, recovery, and quick-dry behavior in your finished piece. The same softshell with DWR and UPF 50+ shields against wind and sun once it's cut and sewn. Cloth doesn't add functionality on its own. It sets the ceiling on what the finished product can do, and that ceiling is high here.

What should you look for when choosing from fabric?

Match the weave to the end use. Start with three questions: what kind of stretch the finished piece needs (4-way stretch for full mobility, mechanical stretch for lighter movement, none for structured pieces), what weather it's built for (DWR softshell for wet and wind, ripstop for dry trail abrasion, brushed interior for cold), and what hand you want against the skin (cotton-led blends for everyday comfort, nylon-led for durability-first work). Cross-reference the bolt against the construction that anchors comparable KÜHL programs (the stretch-rich wovens behind the Reactiv Series, for instance) and request a sample before committing to a production run.
