I just tested it with -2 Farenheit degree weather and it worked well keeping me warm. Even that the fabric is thin, it works.

Best hat I have! It's surprisingly warm. Love the little bungie to snug it up for a nice fit under my chin. Only issue - no brim for sunny days but I topped it with a fleece baseball cap and was good to go even in -14 degrees!

This is a really nice hat. It looks well made, the fit is good and it's warm. It's a thin hat, which means it's not too bulky to pack or carry, for under a hood, or maybe under a ski helmet (I have not taken it skiing yet though. I'll update this review when I do).
