I was searching for a replacement for my old snowboarder parka that served me well for the past 15 years or so. The Arktik Down parka had similar pocket placement as my old parka, but without interior snowbelt or zippered armpit vents (which would have been fine). However, that was okay because I wanted something for more 'everyday' use in frigid winter days. The Artik Down parka also didn't require that kind of snowboarder-type activity to keep me warm. It had great reviews for warmth and function but was also stylish and not at all 'boxy' like other parkas I reviewed and tried on. I'm 6 feet 2 inches tall and 230 pounds and I usually take an XL in most shirts and jackets, but the XL was simply too tight. After searching online I was able to find a XXL in the color I wanted and ordered online. It was at my house in 3 days! It fits perfectly - roomy enough for a sweater or sport-coat underneath without being constrictive. One review I had read complained that the faux suede on the hood, shoulders and elbows, which contributed to its stylishness, wasn't waterproof, so I consulted with Kuhl and used a quality fabric waterproofing spray - problem solved. I love it! I'm sure I'll have it for years. I'm so impressed with it and the terrific customer service (prompt email replies and shipping) that I will be looking at other Kuhl products in future.

Perfect winter coat
This jacket is amazing. Kept me warm in single digit weather during the winter in NYC. Pockets are great and roomy, the hand wraps prevent any wind from going up the sleeves. Will start with kühl when I need another jacket!

Great parka, extremely warm and comfortable. I really like the straps to carry the parka as a backpack . It is very fashionable and can be worn with all attire. It’s water resistant but not waterproof but that’s not an issue.

Best winter coat I've owned.
Very warm and fully featured. Plenty of easily accessible pockets, thumbhole cuffs, easy to use cinch cords at the hood and waist. The inner shoulder straps seem kind of extra, but I've actually used them many times when the coat is too warm to wear indoors but I need to keep it with me.
